A picture of Social Health Care,
For those who think the coming health care is going to be good;
picture this, I am a veteran, I have
an
existing heart condition, I am
uninsured because I was laid off at the end of 2006 and there is no
room
in the work place for seniors unfortunately, so getting a job has
been impossible for me. I have
Medicare
and they deduct almost
$100.00 per month from my SS check to pay for it, but I can not
afford to use it
because they only pay 80% and I am responsible
for the other 20% which I can not
afford, so I am left with
VA care and
a payment to Medicare of $100.00 which I desperately need
to live on. Recently my heart
started to act up after 17 years of
not having problems. Under VA
care (social medicine) there is
no
emergency service near where I live. You can you walk into a
VA facility and see a doctor if it is
between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.,
but what happens if I have
a heart attack at 6:30 or 7:00? So I had to
call to have tests scheduled, very important tests to
detect the severity
of the problem. It took them
a week to even schedule the tests, and I
have an
appointment for October 20th. This is very urgent but at
the
VA I am just "another veteran". 17
years ago when I was insured and
called my doctor I was being
examined the day after I called
him,
hospitalized the following day and had by-pass surgery one week
later.
Obama-care will
be equivilant to VA-care or worse. Don't be fooled, the
government does not
do anything right.
Look at The Post Office, Am-track,
Medicare, the Department of Education and a host
of other
government
run agencies and you will see how they mess up everything they touch.
Don't buy the
lie, don't drink the Obama care Kool-Aid
